What do Cuore – Centro Studi, Archivi, Ricerca, the installations of the exhibition Pittura Italiana Oggi and “Wood, you Believe?” (the Saviola stand of the Salone del mobile 2023) have in common?
These are installations in which aesthetics combine the value of the essence of the project. The best interpreter selected is therefore the Saviola’s Ecological Panel®. A regenerated wood obtained from a circular economy process. Collected, cleaned, purified from other materials such as iron, plastic, aluminum, brass and copper, which in turn are separately recycled allowing post-consumer wood to acquire a new life.
Temporary and permanent projects, with a different time frame of dismantling, but in which the concept of care to 360° is enhanced.

Cuore – Centro Studi, Archivi, Ricerca is the new Triennale Milano space dedicated to research, memory and innovation. Designed by Luca Cipelletti. Located on the ground floor of the Palazzo dell’Arte and designed as a flexible and constantly evolving place, Cuore was created to bring out the design and research that is the basis of all Triennale activities.

Depending on the needs related to the use of space, the modular elements of the display system can be easily reconfigured. The components can be completely disassembled and recycled individually. Along the entire right wall of the space there is a system of display cases, cupboards and shelves, which covers an area of about 300 square meters and makes available the materials of the archives and collections of Triennale. The entire wall system is covered by an Ecological Panel constructed by Saviola entirely realized through the recycling of post-consumer wood, then without the felling of trees, which highlights the materiality of regenerated wood and its technical potential.

The exhibition Pittura Italiana Oggi, curated by Damiano Gullì, curator for contemporary art and public program of Triennale, with a project set up by Studio Italo Rota proposes an open modular system in which we can move freely between the artworks, not ordered according to chronological criteria but approached in a dynamic combinatorial game, following continuous shifts from figuration to abstraction, and vice versa, highlighting how the boundaries between these two polarities are now fluid, porous and, in some ways, interchangeable.

The production of the materials used in the set-up foresees in its production phase a quantitative reduction of the original material. The exhibition is thus directed towards 100% non-production of CO2 and non-use of finishing materials, glues, paints, fillers, welds.

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Gruppo Saviola participates for the first time at the Salone del Mobile with an installation created in collaboration with the international design and innovation studio CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and the architect Italo Rota. Entitled Wood, you Believe? its facade consists of four tons of post-consumer wood to show the entire process of regeneration. The project also includes an immersive room that highlights the potential of digital printing in the realisation of customised projects of great impact and sustainable.
In the raw version or in the most refined versions, the soul of the product remains unchanged and consistent with the company mission: to produce a material that does not affect the environment. A wood without cutting down trees. A wood that does not steal oxygen, a wood that allows us to enjoy the green of our land. A 100% regenerated wood panel aesthetically corresponding to a virgin wood panel.
We look forward to seeing you at the Salone del Mobile 2024. Stay tuned.
