In Siviglia, an apartment with view

Location: Seville, Spain

When in Seville, one immediately thinks of flamenco and dance: an ancient land, rich in history, and a city crossed by the river. Bright sunshine in summer, balmy weather in winter, and a golden light all year round, which enlightens the interior of this apartment, with a breathtaking view of the city.

The owner chose the apartment for its location, on the top floor of a condo, which allowed to focus on natural light, as a natural complement to contemporary architecture played on the succession of full and empty, light and shadow.

The house, designed by Francesc Rifé, is divided into two distinct areas, day and night. The sleeping area consists of two small bedrooms, a master bedroom, two bathrooms and a walk-in closet-closet.
The living area features a large open space, with niches and walls by melamine panels, creating functional islands connected by open walkways: a daybed for relaxation, a kitchen island with a snack table, a dining area, a living area and a home-office area overlooking the Guadalquivir River.

Two are the highlights of this elegant and modern apartment: the panels of melamine with a bleached pine finish, covering the walls and creating storage units for the everyday objects, and the Italian and Danish design furniture, featuring mixed materials and colours.

The bleached pine finish on the walls and floors creates a pleasant Scandinavian-inspired atmosphere, which becomes Mediterranean when flooded with the light of the Andalusian city. The bronze of the kitchen and the marble of the bathrooms complete the sober and measured luxury of the ambients.
