In South Korea, a country where respect for nature is a traditional value, even the interior design draws inspiration from the landscape and local traditions. This is also the case for the restaurant Nampa House, located in Naju, created to pass on a food with 200 years of history.
Local traditions in craftsmanship and cuisine are the basis of the design by Listen Communication studio, which tried to bring back local elements of the landscape, craftsmanship, and food in the furnishings and finishes. The walls are decorated with motifs inspired by landscapes, such as artist Kim Su’s painting of the Keumsung and Samgak mountains, located close to Seoul.
Melamine faced panels are perfect for finishing, due to their versatility. With the countless colors that allow you to coordinate surfaces and edges and the wide range of textures, melamine paneling is perfect for any decor style. By choosing surface finishes in warm-colored woods, one can create a traditional Korean home’s comfortable and cozy atmosphere with a contemporary flair.
Moreover, melamine panels feature non-toxic, fire-retardant coatings, which are ideal for public spaces with many people, such as restaurants. Therefore, the choice of melamine panel is perfect for the interior design style and is also the ideal choice for the safety and sanitation of public space. The melamine faced chipboard is also 100% recyclable, so its use also makes it easier to respect the environment.
This article illustrates the endless possibilities for furnishing and designing interior architecture with melamine panels, such as the Saviola Group’s 100% recycled panels. The first panels made in Italy entirely recycled from post-consumer materials.
The Saviola panel collections offer a wide range of finishes, decorations, and textures to satisfy the most demanding interior designers and the possibility of coordinating surfaces and edges.
